EN-About

fumi. (with a period)
It means no more, no less — just me.
A name I gave myself as a quiet vow:
to live as the purest version of who I truly am.

S k i l l s

It’s been over 25 years since I first encountered graphic design.
The software I learned as a student has vanished along with the march of technology,
and the mainstream tools of today seem to update every few months.
Learning and evolution never truly end!

The Meaning
Behind My Logo

The theme is a household alter. When I decided to live in full honesty with myself,
I realized how difficult it was to see myself objectively.
So I began asking:
“If I were a god, how would I treat myself?”

“I wouldn’t handle a deity carelessly.”
“I’d prepare the best condition before offering anything sacred.”

That gentle shift in awareness became my way of living —
to offer my whole being as if placing it before a divine presence.
To live as one who is both the offering and the altar itself.

Born and raised in Osaka, I am a wife, a mother of three,
and a freelance designer, illustrator, and artist.

My Path

Born and raised in Osaka, I am a wife, a mother of three,
and a freelance designer, illustrator, and artist.

At 18, I moved to the United States to study
Communication, Marketing, Media, and Graphic Design.
After seven years abroad, I returned to Tokyo
and began my career at a design company.

The years that followed were a mix of challenge and discovery.
Marriage, motherhood, and the flow of daily life
reshaped how I understood creativity.

Making handmade accessories during my early years of child-raising
rekindled my love for craft.
Later, through assisting my husband’s business,
I became involved in planning and branding,
which naturally led me to work independently.

My Work Today

I now create logos, business cards, packages, and websites —
but also watercolor paintings, illustrations,
and handmade pieces that hold warmth and breath.

Each work begins with quiet observation:
a moment of light, a feeling, a trace of someone’s story.
Through design and art, I hope to give gentle form
to the unseen essence of things.

To shape someone’s vision with sincerity.
To bring a touch of color to the everyday.
To live — and create — with presence, grace, and devotion.
